Investment companies increasingly use digitalisation to eliminate manual processes and boost operational efficiency.
We present a case study on Börsdata's upgraded analysis platform for private investors. After partnering with Baltic Amadeus, the enhanced system grew the paid user base by 43%.
Börsdata is one of the largest independent analysis tools in the Nordics, providing a comprehensive stock market overview with more than 10 years of historical data. The platform covers over 16,000 listed companies and financial instruments across more than 30 countries.
Operating in a highly competitive investment market, Börsdata aimed to expand its analytical capabilities by offering more than 200 ratios, strategies, and valuation tools for listed companies across the Nordics, the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Japan, and Australia.
However, the legacy solution could not support significantly larger data volumes or real-time data streams. In addition, it lacked an intuitive and functional user interface. To overcome these limitations and future-proof the platform, Börsdata chose Baltic Amadeus as its technology partner.
Working closely with the client, Baltic Amadeus analysed and designed a new IT architecture and developed proof-of-concept solutions to achieve the required performance while keeping operational costs under control through cost-efficient Azure cloud services.
Together, the teams delivered a solution that enables users to analyse real-time calculated ratios and daily stock price data. Baltic Amadeus provided technical leadership, IT architecture, analysis, development, and quality assurance throughout the project.
The upgraded platform leverages Azure cloud services to process large data volumes, .NET Core for custom backend functionality, and React/Redux for a fast, scalable single-page application interface.
As a result, the solution now delivers over 1,000 calculated ratios spanning a 20-year historical period. It efficiently processes stock data for more than 10,000 companies worldwide (at launch), and highlights updates and changes through a clear, user-friendly terminal interface.
The Azure-based analysis platform significantly improved Börsdata's operational efficiency and system performance.
The upgrade introduced a professional-grade terminal for experienced investors, along with a responsive web platform for real-time data monitoring. The improved UX and UI ensure that the platform is ready for future enhancements and can easily accommodate new features as Börsdata continues to evolve.
Most importantly, the upgraded solution delivered a clear business impact. Within just six months, Börsdata achieved a 43% increase in its paid user base, demonstrating the tangible value of the platform modernisation.
