Lithuanian agricultural retailer Lytagra sought to evaluate its IT infrastructure and assess cloud migration opportunities.
This case study explores the infrastructure and data migration assessment delivered by Baltic Amadeus and Microsoft, providing Lytagra with clear insights and a structured migration roadmap.
Lytagra is a Lithuanian agricultural retail provider operating across multiple specialised divisions, including agricultural machinery sales and service, spare parts, tools, metal products, building materials, and tyre and rubber products.
To better understand the feasibility and benefits of cloud adoption, Lytagra leveraged a dedicated offer from Baltic Amadeus, delivered in partnership with Microsoft, to assess its current IT infrastructure and data landscape.
Within one month, the Baltic Amadeus team completed a comprehensive infrastructure and data migration assessment and delivered a detailed report outlining findings and recommendations.

During the assessment, Baltic Amadeus thoroughly analysed Lytagra's IT infrastructure, taking into account business plans, existing systems, usage patterns, processes, and data flows.
The evaluation covered both on-premises environments and Microsoft Azure cloud components. Key focus areas included operating system and SQL end-of-support status, performance metrics, dependency mapping using Netstat, IaaS cloud sizing, managed disk sizing, and overall Azure readiness.
In the final stage, Baltic Amadeus identified and presented migration opportunities across Windows Server and SQL environments, helping determine cloud readiness and establish workload prioritisation.
The assessment provided Lytagra with a clear and comprehensive understanding of its existing IT infrastructure, supporting informed decision-making and strategic planning.
By evaluating both on-premises and Azure components, Lytagra gained practical insights into cloud migration opportunities and identifiedpotential risks and mitigation strategies.
Identifying migration opportunities for Windows Server and SQL environments enabled better workload prioritisation and delivered valuable guidance for strengthening the company’s long-term IT strategy.
