According to the International Energy Agency, solar power accounts for 4.5% of global electricity generation. However, apartment dwellers and those without access to infrastructure for installing clean energy systems often cannot access the benefits of clean energy. This case study presents a solar energy prosumer solution developed for a European renewable energy company, making solar power accessible beyond traditional on-site installations.
The client is a European renewable energy company specialising in the production and supply of electricity and heat. In addition to trading and distributing power and natural gas, the company actively contributes to the development and maintenance of energy systems.
Driven by a commitment to a clean and sustainable energy future, the client aimed to create a modern solar park solution. The goal was to allow individuals to buy or lease a share in a remote solar power plant, enabling participation in green energy generation without the need for physical infrastructure.
Based on Baltic Amadeus' experience with similar projects, the client approached the team to develop a comprehensive solution, including UX/UI design, platform software development, a self-service portal for solar park developers, and a self-service system for buyers and renters.

Working closely with the client's in-house team, Baltic Amadeus developed a user-friendly online platform that enables individuals to buy or rent shares in remote solar parks. This solution established a nationwide option for customers interested in using solar-generated electricity.
The platform was built using a range of technologies, including PHP, CSS, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis, ensuring high performance, stability, and efficient data processing.
In addition, the team designed a service portal and a prosumer platform tailored to the needs of both energy producers and consumers. The solution was customised to support both B2B and B2C customers across European markets.
The newly developed solar parks platform provides a clear and intuitive interface, making it easy for customers to buy or rent a share of a solar power park.
From the client's perspective, the solution streamlines internal processes, supports the handling of large data volumes, and delivers real-time insights for informed operational and business decisions.
Following the platform's launch, Baltic Amadeus continued its partnership with the client, ensuring ongoing improvements and maintenance to keep the solution reliable, scalable, and future-ready.
