JTI Baltic, a global leader, needed to upgrade its digital capabilities and partnered with Baltic Amadeus to build a high-performing Content Management System (CMS) from scratch with flexible functionality.
This case study explores the collaboration, objectives, processes, and technologies used to develop JTI Baltic's CMS.
JTI is a major global tobacco company operating in over 130 countries. Established in 1999, it has grown into one of the world's top tobacco producers, known for its wide range of tobacco brands.
In 2019, we started working with JTI Baltic after they contacted us about creating a complete Content Management System (CMS). This was the beginning of our partnership, which has since grown to meet their varying needs and showcase our dedication to delivering IT solutions.
The project's main goal was to create a CMS that precisely matched the specific requirements of JTI Baltic. We invested considerable effort in preparing a thorough proposal with an action plan to set the foundation for our enduring partnership with JTI Baltic.

Before the project, we offered the client the opportunity to implement the technology strategy of the new CMS. The proposed system is firmly rooted in Drupal, which is an easy-to-use and secure technology for content-heavy and high-traffic systems. This way, we ensured the client could avoid potential risks associated with niche technologies and their limitations.
A team of seven experts worked to develop a powerful system that enables JTI Baltic to efficiently manage and distribute content across its online platform. This CMS should have served as a core platform for the client's digital operations and capabilities.
We created a high-performing CMS and continued supporting and maintaining it for over two years after the project's completion. This ongoing support guaranteed the CMS's continued reliability and effectiveness.
The newly developed CMS provided various benefits to JTI Baltic. Initially, it empowered the client to handle their online content more efficiently. This optimised content creation, editing, and publishing workflows, facilitating timely updates across their websites.
Moreover, the system meets the highest security and compliance standards. This minimises risks associated with online operations and protects their reputation.
Lastly, the new CMS allows the client to quickly adjust their online presence in response to market changes. This ensures that JTI Baltic remains connected with its audience and keeps up with technological advancements.
